Oxygen8, the global provider of multi-channel engagement solutions, has donated over £100,000 to the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK).
The donation, generated by the Kenyan LOTTO operated by Oxygen8 East Africa Ltd, will support NOCK during its preparation for the Rio Olympics later this year. From facilitating travel to covering the team’s expenses, the sum of money will provide a platform for gifted athletes to compete on the world stage.
Committed to its ongoing relationship with NOCK, the solutions provider aims to add value through this year’s Olympics and beyond – offering continued support to young athletes and making a difference to society and the future of sports in Kenya.
Brian Waluchio, CEO at Oxygen8 East Africa commented: “Being a global provider of technology, with offices in 11 countries and operations in over 20 countries worldwide, it’s important to us to ensure we give something back to the local communities we operate in. The recent donation to the National Olympic Committee of Kenya is just one of the many sponsorships the O8 Foundation is responsible for, and we look forward to supporting other organisations across the globe over the forthcoming months.”
Dr. Kipchoge Keino, Chairman at the National Olympics Committee Kenya, commented: “We are so grateful for this generous donation which will give our young athletes a chance to showcase their endless potential. Everything that we do should be for the glory of our country Kenya and we look forward to our bright sporting future.”
Oxygen8 continues to support charities around the world, including the Young Riders Crew freeride team, where, in 2016, it is entering its tenth year sponsorship.
