Brian Waluchio, CEO of Oxygen8 East Africa, took part in the first of a series of webinars set up by mobile learning content solutions company, ChangeCorp on September 12th. The purpose of the webinars is to address discussions that surfaced at the “Changing Lives Through Mobile” conference, which took place on June 21st at the United Nations in New York.
The first webinar outlined some of the most innovative social programs that are changing in the mobile space.
Brian Waluchio, CEO of Oxygen8 East Africa, commented: “Oxygen8 provides a holistic perspective of services to a mobile user. Mobile operators and services in Africa are moving quicker than ever, realising the benefits of sustainable and profitable social initiatives. Social programs provide a great database of users. In Africa, the predominant mobile service is Mpayments, which have created more integration between banking operations and mobile operators (mobile wallets). More banks are becoming agents that hold mobile wallets”.
The basis of future webinars will cover the following:
- How to promote innovation and effective solutions in emerging markets?
- How to scale-up and create sustainable programs?
- Develop strategies for partner integration working with different sectors
- Reengineering social responsibility to create a commercial value proposition
