What, in a nutshell, do you do?
I am UK Country Manager within the Oxygen8 Group and hold full responsibility for the Group’s UK sales and service activities and execution of company growth strategies. I also lead efforts in continuing to strengthen the Group’s position in the UK, relying on the company’s global expertise and extensive solutions portfolio.
What has been your company’s greatest achievement to date?
Year on year growth has been well in excess of 20% over the last five years, to such that the Groups turnover has now surpassed £100 million.
Who, living or dead (famous or not) would you most like to have as an employee?
Chris Evans – makes me laugh every morning and he is entrepreneurial and motivational.
What’s the greatest invention of the 21st Century so far?
The iPhone has definitely got to be one of the greatest inventions of the 21st century. With over 250 million people worldwide owning an iPhone and 46 billion mobile apps downloaded in 2012 alone, the device has undoubtedly taken the word “smartphone” to a whole new level.
What technology — real or imaginary — would make the biggest difference to your working life?
A robot that walks the dog, puts the bins out and picks up the kids from school!
Is the mobile content world aimed too much at men?
I don’t believe it is no, my sports content is great but my wife seems to have a plethora of celebrity gossip to keep her going…
